Yaya Aflalo
Yael Aflalo, an entrepreneur and former model, launched her first clothing line called Yaya Alfalo at the age of 21 when she began learning about the fashion industry's negative environmental impacts. She became disenchanted, leaving her previous company after witnessing terrible factory conditions in China, and dreamed of making fashion that wasn't wasteful. When creating her identity, it was clear that a chic look that used natural materials and colors was essential. The Japanese brushstroke logo symbolizes the handcraft that goes into each one of her garments. The result is a timeless look that epitomizes her mission, while staying true to her fashion sensibilities. (Credit: Commune Design)
